THIS IS A TEST ENVIRONMENT.
Description
This insurance covers the liability of the insured or co-insured persons for harm caused to another person by a dog or cat. The insurance also covers harm caused to another person through people to whom the insured entrusted the care of the animal (dog or cat).
The insurance covers situations where your dog or cat causes damage to another person’s health or property, or causes financial loss connected with damage to health or property. For example, if your dog runs away during a walk and causes a traffic accident in which a successful doctor or manager is injured and unable to work for a longer period, the amount of damage can easily reach hundreds of thousands or even millions of crowns. Or a lady visits wearing an expensive luxury coat and your cat decides to “cuddle” with it. It may also happen that your dog bites someone and causes serious injury. We cover all of these and similar situations under liability insurance.
What we cannot reimburse under this insurance are damages caused to borrowed or rented items. We also do not cover damages caused by the insured animal to you or your close relatives, damages arising from hunting rights, any non-material harm, or damages arising during professional activity or preparation for it.
What to do in the event of an insurance claim
The PetExpert team specializes in animal health insurance, while liability insurance usually concerns property or people. That is why we have agreed with ČSOB Insurance that liability claims will be handled directly by their experienced team. However, PetExpert will continue to collect the necessary documents and communicate with you so that everything proceeds quickly and smoothly, as you are used to with us.
